The Fall 2023 edition of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse (EIC) newsletter is available on our website inEnglish andSpanish.

Our main story focuses on ways families can use everyday routines to work on early intervention outcomes. The articles and resources included illustrate how common tasks can be a way to work on many different skills often covered in early intervention. An engaging video message shares the importance of routines in early intervention. We include information on fun ways to expand the learning during your family’s routines that align with your child’s strengths and preferences. A family-friendly tip sheet titled “Daily Routines Are Learning Times” offers simple ways to encourage child development throughout the day.  If you are looking for more ideas, we share a collection of book and resource recommendations for establishing everyday routines.

We wrap up our fall newsletter with some valuable information from the Bureau of Early Intervention on the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) and a valuable information sheet on family rights and important timelines to be aware. Also included in this quarter’s newsletter are reminders about several upcoming events including the Family Town Hall meeting on Nov 9 (register here) and the Annual Cookies at the Clearinghouse event (Dec 7) .
