The Winter 2023 edition of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse newsletter is available on our website in English and Spanish. Our focus of this newsletter is Family Stories. The main article features the new video series titled Early Intervention Experiences. This series of over 50 brief videos allows families to share their experiences in their native language in response to a series of questions. Also included in this newsletter is a tip sheet focused on helping families to share their cultural and personal practices and routines with professionals. The English language version and the Spanish language version also contain a list of books for parents and children around the theme, sharing family experiences with raising a child with special needs. You will also find an update on the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP), a Winter Newsletter Giveaway and information about an ongoing research study that might be of interest to families and a plug for the upcoming Family Town Hall meetings.

Town Hall Meeting for Families on Tuesday, Feb 7
Remind families to register TODAY! The director of the Bureau of Early Intervention is hosting four virtual town halls with families of children in early intervention. During this time you can share your experiences, ask questions, and voice your suggestions to improve early intervention. Benny Delgado, Chief of the Bureau of Early Intervention, will be present to personally answer questions and respond to comments. These meetings will be held online and information will be presented in English and Spanish. Need an iPad or a Hotspot for Live Video Visits?
Many families are receiving Early Intervention services through live video visits. To help families with technology needs, the EI Clearinghouse has added several technology devices to the lending library:
- iPads with a cellular data plan (device and Internet access)
- iPads without a cellular data plan (device)
- Hotspot with cellular data plan (Internet access)
