Winter Newsletter Spotlights Transition to School-Based Services

The Winter 2022 edition of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse newsletter is available on our website in English and Spanish. Our main story looks at the transition from early intervention services to school-based services when your child turns 3. The story gives families an idea of what the transition planning process looks like, who’s eligible for school-based services, where their child may receive services, and whom to contact for questions about the transition. There’s also a list of books on advocacy and special education that can be accessed through the clearinghouse library.

This newsletter also has our latest tip sheet, Transition: Understanding Family Rights, which helps you understand the steps, timelines, and your family’s rights throughout the transition.

We also provide an update on the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP).

You can find all previous issues of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse newsletter on our website in English and Spanish.

The clearinghouse has a number of resource guides that can introduce you to important books, videos, and information resources available from the EI Clearinghouse. Check out these guides.
