In October, 2023, the Bureau of Early Intervention notified EI providers that the list of approved evaluation and assessment instruments had been revised. The list included several new editions of tools. It also provided a list of instruments that will be removed from the approved list as of May 30, 2024.
The Illinois Early Intervention Clearinghouse understands the pressure that EI providers feel to find a tool that best meets their needs and role. We continue to update our assessment collection to help providers explore assessment tool options. We are offering on-site previews of a limited number of tools at our location in Champaign, IL. Providers can sign up for a specific time slot using our appointment scheduling calendar or by calling our office. Appointments are available on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
