Krasnoludek: a gnome tale is a children’s picture book about a typical day of a gnome at home in the forest. It is a „quiet” book about the magic and beauty of the woods, with delightful illustrations done in watercolor. Written in gentle rhythms, it’s a wonderful book for naptime or bedtime. Many caregivers are also interested in introducing new sounds to their little readers. This book introduces simple Polish words with phonetic pronunciations. The first introduced word is „krasnoludek” [kross-no-LOO-deck], which means gnome in Polish. Krasnoludek: a gnome tale is also a love letter to the woods and the winter season. This book would make a fun gift for both children and adults: Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Advent, Christmas, anyone who loves gnomes, the outdoors, the winter season, has Polish heritage, and for those learning the Polish language.
