Spring Newsletter Focuses on Family Engagement in EI

family

The Spring 2022 edition of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse newsletter is available on our website in English and Spanish. Our main story looks at family-centered practices, often referred to as family engagement. The story gives families an idea of how these practices can help you advocate for your child, understand your choices, and grow your leadership skills.

This newsletter also includes our latest tip sheet, Talking With Your Family About Your Child’s Disability, which helps parents and caregivers interact with extended family members and siblings to help them better understand their child’s delays/disabilities and their everyday lives of as parents.

We also highlight new books in the clearinghouse as well as our new speech kits, which provide caregivers with information and activities to promote communication skills and books to share with children to encourage shared communication and relationship building. These kits are available in both English and Spanish and can be accessed through the clearinghouse library.

You can find all previous issues of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse newsletter on our website in English and Spanish.
