The Illinois Department of Early Childhood (IDEC) is partnering with ChiByDesign to improve how families access early childhood services across the state. The IDEC needs your voice in co-creating a more seamless, anti-racist early childhood education and care experience in Illinois. If you are a parent or caregiver with children aged birth – 5, and have sought early education services in Illinois within the past 2-3 years, IDEC wants to hear from you! This includes biological parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, chosen family who sought services like home visiting, daycare centers, home-based care, school-based programs, or early intervention. Interpreters will be provided if needed.
- Time Commitment: One, 1-1.5 hr virtual interview on Zoom in August-September 2025

If you are interested, please fill out the interest form by Saturday, Aug 16, 2025. If you want to complete the survey in a language other than English or Spanish, please click ‘Other’ on the form and IDEC will collect your contact information to follow up and complete the survey with an interpreter. Once signed up, the ChiByDesign team will follow up with you on further details and schedule a Zoom interview.
