Recently, the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Bureau of Early Intervention shared an information notice regarding the planned implementation of Early Intervention Family Fees, scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026. The planned implementation will be paused until further notice.
You may be aware that the Bureau of Early Intervention proposed changes to the family fee sliding scale at 89 Ill. Adm. Code Part 500. Appendix A. The proposed changes have not yet been finalized, and family fees will be paused.
The Bureau of Early Intervention is currently reviewing next steps and will share additional updates as soon as they become available.
