The Fall 2022 edition of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse newsletter is available on our website in English and Spanish. Our focus of this newsletter is Advocacy. We share a video of a family member speaking about how they learned to be an advocate while their child was in early intervention. We provide a brief article on What is Advocacy and provide a link to enter the Fall 2022 Newsletter Giveaway. We are thrilled to feature four specialized tip sheets for families on advocating for their child in different settings including : How to Advocate for Your Child While Taking Care of Yourself, How to Advocate for your Child in Childcare Settings, How to Advocate for Your Child in Medical Settings and How to Advocate for Your School-Aged Child with a Disability. There’s also a list of books on advocacy and special education that can be accessed through the clearinghouse library. Additionally, we provide information about borrowing an iPad or hotspot from the EI Clearinghouse to help families participate in live video visits in early intervention.
You can find all previous issues of the Early Intervention Clearinghouse newsletter on our website in English and Spanish.
